I saw this movie for the first time when I was 14 in Haiti even though it came out 2 years earlier in the States [1992] I am way older now, but whenever I listen to that particular song, it brings so many emotions out of me. It was one of the greatest Disney movies of all time and its soundtrack will stand the test of time as the creme de la creme of movie scores as well. 🤗🎶🎧🎼🪇🎻📯🦁🥁🎬✨️🥇

I've always been particular about the use of vocals in soundtracks. I like to think that the chanting voices at 1:11 are the long-gone kings of olde trying to warn Mufasa and Simba about what's to come.

30 year later, and this scene part (and music) is still heartbreaking and powerful. Mufasa is not only is a king but also act like a noble Paladin, risking his life to save and protect his son's life, sadly unaware of Scar's betrayal which leads to his demise. While not the first character in a Disney film to die, this was actually the very first movie that not only have one good character die, but you got to see Mufasa's dead body. Heartbreaking and tearful when Simba cries and mourn of the loss of his father, believing it was his own fault. That was very hardcore of Disney.

30 years on and this music still hits them feelings hard. there has been times in my life i wished people from my past could appear in front of me to give me advice and let me know i am on the right path in life
